This was our third 'full spot' of the year, very kindly offered to us by Alan and Sue Hewson at the Baldock and Letchworth Folk Club.
This folk club has been something of a home from home for Rob and I over the past few years, so it is always nice to return there and meet old friends. This was our first time to their new venue at The White Horse in Baldock - a more spacious room for playing in.
Whether for football (England on telly), coughs and sneezes, Seth Lakeman on nearby, or regulars on holiday, it was a fairly intimate gathering for the evening but there were many familiar faces and a few new club members to welcome us.
We were supported by the excellent Malcolm Hobbs who is very active across the same folk club network as Rob and I. He has a great voice and a wondeful repetoire and played some cracking stuff.
We stuck to our current 'tour' repetoire which seemed to go down well given the feedback we received afterwards.
KNowing our love of French song and music, Alan and Sue have very knidly asked us to return to the club on May 12th to support the British band playing french tunes and songs, Heretique - something we are more than willing to do.
